The Shambhala Meditation Group of Mississauga is part of an international community of over 170 meditation centres on five continents. Shambhala was founded by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher who helped to bring Buddhism to the west, and is currently led by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.
The Shambhala Buddhist path, unique in the world of Western Buddhism, combines the teachings of the Kagyu and Nningma traditions of Tibetan Buddhism with the Shambhala view of living an uplifted life, fully engaged with the world.
